After overnighting in Bend and visiting the Deschutes Brewery,

where Black Butte Porter is made,

we check out the High Desert Museum.

It is a cross between a zoo

and a working museum





From saw mills and logging to homesteading, this place does a great job.



And birds and animals.













Next stop was Smith Rock State Park. It is a premier rock climbing area.
