Doe Bay is on Orcas Island, which is in the Pudget Sound, off the Washington coast.
Orcas Island is reached by a ferry departing from Anacortez, WA
Doe Bay is a former hippie commune, located right on the Pudget Sound, and is now a great place to go, relax, reflect, re-charge, and be re-stored. Let's see, Matthew, Dee, Wade, and Ricky have enjoyed the wonders here.
This is the Office and Restaurant, where one can get a wonderful, non-vegetarian meal.
Here is the recently remodeled soaking area. There is no natural hot water here, but they do take spring water and heat it for the patrons enjoyment.
There are 3 soaking pools. The pool on the right and in the center are both hot, varying a few degrees. The pool on the left is a cold plunge, and it is really cold.... Notice the view of Doe Bay from the soaking deck.
There is a sauna located right next to the soaking pools.
Lots of excitement one night. Was sleeping in this building and was awaken by a lot of screaming at midnight. About the same time my feet hit the floor, there was a crash and the building shook. Made my way over to find that this van. It was parked up the hill, slipped out of gear, rolled down the hill, just about cleared out a group of folks gathered around a fire (folks from North Carolina here for a wedding), and crashed into this building.
Rumor had it that there was some activity going on in the van to cause it to be knocked out of gear, which started its fateful roll.
Here are just a couple of the housing options at Doe Bay.
