Oregon 02/2008 - Cougar in the Snow

The Forest Service does not plow the road to the Hot Springs past the Reservoir Dam, requiring a 4 mile hike (each way) on the snow to reach Hot Water.

Finally make it to the trail head, only a quarter mile to go.

The water fall is flowing, but the water level in the lagoon is down.

Made it to the springs and have the place to myself.

This is the changing area.

This is the upper pool(s), sometime referred to as pools 0 and 1. Notice the hot water source coming out of the cave in the upper right corner.

This is pool 2. The hot water cascades down from the top pools to the lower pools.
