We leave the Young Life Camp and head east through the desert to the Painted Hills.
We encounter some interesting rock formations along the way.
As we approach the John Day River, and there is water for irrigation, we find the eastern Oregon cash crop (and it's not what you might think). The crop is hay.
We make our way to the Painted Hills, and Parker is caught examining the painted hills.

We exit the Painted Hills and come across more irrigated land next to the John Day River.
