Maine 07/2008 Day 6

We leave Matinicus and head for one of our favorite places: Frenchboro on Long Island. As we enter the Frenchboro harbor, Kees is on duty, looking for a buoy for us tie up.

The Harbor is well used. Not too many pleasure craft.

Here is a view of the harbor from the Museum area.

Another harbor view.

Our boat secured, Jason begins his water taxi service,

bringing the girls to the dock.

Lobster men are selling their catch.

After a visit to the Island Museum, we take a little hike.

Hale and Cynthia on the rocks - that's the way they like it, no rocks for me though.

Jeannie, just hanging out.

Catherine and Jason, contemplating the call of the sea.

An interesting rock formation - a vein of dark rock.

More rocks

Some woods

Our boat, the Bodacious, taking on fuel and water.

Jason and Catherine pick out a few lobsta for dinner.

We dine at about the only place on the island - Lunt & Lunt, one of our favorites.

Our stay at Frenchboro done, we head for Northeast Harbor, with Jason at the helm.

Kees is sharing some lessons of the sea with Jason.

We arrive safely at Northeast Harbor and tie up.

The guys check out some of the nice motor boats.

And the sun sets on yet another great trip.
