Oregon 04/2008 - Saturday Market

Some years ago, I was telling one of our Deacons that I was heading off to Eugene, and he got this far away look in his eyes and told me about how he lived in the Eugene City Park for a couple of weeks back in 1968 (you remember what was going on then, don't you). It is this location where Saturday Market is held.

Saturday Market is a unique event in Eugene, a city filled with unique events.

Here's Kyle and Molly sporting about at the Market.

Here is Gretchen and Jack getting a flower from one of the vendors.

Here's some of the religious oddities that one finds in Eugene.

Acrobats everywhere!

The common mode of transportation - bikes.

Voter drives to legalize different kinds of smokes.

There are political statements.

One has Vegan eating options. Actually, tofu, prepared right, tastes almost like meat.

A little tie-dye anyone?

The folks here are very ecology minded.

Here is the Krishna Band - a different kind of family worship

In case you are feeling low, you can come here to get a lift.

A little music on the Free Speech Plaza.

The crew hanging out in the Free Speech Plaza.

You can buy all different kinds of herbs here.
