Idaho - 09/2007 Day 2

Chris and I head out the next day to do some exploring. We drive east toward the Craters of the Moon National Monument.

We explored some Lava Tubes (caves).

On the way home, we found some more hot water in the lava rock, which is called Milford Hot Springs (Wild Rose),

but did not have time to qualify (even though the pool is almost 3 feet deep, with a temp of about 102),

due to having to get back for the football game.

There was a lot of orange and blue, but not much black and gold, either in the stands or on the field. The game was a blowout loss for the Golden Eagles. I won't even post the score here.

Here's one of the Broncos running for yet another touchdown on the blue turf.

This loss seemed to speed up the movement to replace Coach Bower. I did learn after the fact that Ken Gunnufsen was at this game, wearing orange. He called what he was doing a marketing opportunity related to his work. We are still investigating this.

Update: Investigation Complete. Here's the evidence:

I've been to Idaho to watch Southern Miss two times. Two times they've lost. At least this most recent time, we found hot water, then lost a coach, so it wasn't a complete bust.

Next time they play in Idaho, I plan to skip the game and head into the mountains.
