After a long drive up from Yosemite, maybe not as direct as it could have been as a result of the Garmin taking us all over the place, we finally arrived at Sierra Hot Springs, which is near Reno.
The next day was spent doing just about nothing, especially no driving. It is great to have a day on a trip where there is nothing to do, just laze about, read a book, take it easy, work on a tan, short hikes, exploring, and enjoy the beauty of the Lord's creation. Oh, and there was hot water to enjoy!
There was also a pretty good restaurant called the Philosophy Cafe. Unlike many similar new ageie soaking spots, they served real meat. Had a great bacon and cheese omelet on the morning of my 50th birthday. At this crossroads in life, I, like George Washington on the founding of our Country, considered whether the sun was rising or setting.
